About Salon Paws
Salon Paws, LLC is a locally owned and operated full service Dog Grooming shop located on Main Street in downtown New Prague, MN.

Our long time love of dogs can be seen in the care and attention to detail given to each of the pets we attend to.

As the owner of Salon Paws, I have spent a great deal of time and effort to ensure that your family member is treated to the best experience possible and when finished they will look and feel their very best.		 PLACEHOLDER.

My professional dog grooming training and my  continuing education is the cornerstone of the  excellent customer service and professional resultsthat I take such great pride in.

Education:
Graduated from Rio Certified Grooming School in 2014.
Worked for a large Pet Grooming Corporation while attending grooming school.

Started professional canine stylist career at Rio Grooming School and Salon. In addition to grooming I worked 2-3 days a week in the grooming school as an assistant to the head instructor, Amy Beskau.

Continuing education:
May 2014: Attended workshop/seminar on Poodle and Bichon clips presented by Groom Team USA members: Lindsay Dickens and Veronica Frosch.

August 2014: Attended “All American Grooming Show” in Wheeling, Illinois. Seminars presented by leaders in the grooming industry. Classes included:

*Achieved Certification in Pet First Aid & CPR.
*Safety in the Salon & safety with equipment.
*Animal Behavior
*Skin and Coat care
*Stylish clips for mixed breeds.
January 2015: Participated in a hands-on workshop specializing in terriers and hand-stripping. Taught by Certified Master Groomer, Instructor- Certifier, USA judge, Scott Wasserman.

April 2015: Participated in a hands-on workshop/seminar presented by World-Renowned Pet Stylist and Member of Groom Team USA Olga Zabelinskaya.

August 2015: Attended “Super Zoo National Trade Show” in Las Vegas NV. Seminars presented by leaders in the grooming industry. Classes included:

*Safe handling of difficult/special needs dogs.
*Styling techniques.
*Proper use of grooming tools/equipment
*Safe products

February 2016: Attended classes taught by Christien Pearson Ncmg-Icmg.

*Achieved Certification as a Certified Canine Esthetician.

March 2016: Opened Salon Paws in New Prague, MN
